Monte,

Thanks for sharing the link to your new website.

Are you associated with any of the groups listed on this site: http://truth.fateback.com/index.html ? A quick google search for "the plain truth" brought it up.

XXXXX,

I am so glad you could drop by and visit “The Plain Truth (http://members.door.net/monte/)” website which is not to be confused with Herbert W. Armstrong’s site: (http://truth.fateback.com/index.html), who by the way is now dead.
Earlier, I have herd about him having a site named “The Plain Truth” and will look into it a little later.
This site is just getting into the search engines and it may take some time to be listed.

The true church of God is never a building or an institution, but the ekklesia. You can only join the ekklesia through Jesus Christ. The true Church of God is far different than what the majority believes it to be. Remember the majority is condemned unto eternal damnation and only the few lay hold of eternal salvation, which is Jesus Christ. The Bible has no salvation in it, but it points to the true salvation, Jesus Christ.
John 5:39  Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40  And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

The point in this home page is that there are many Christians that think they are going to Heaven and are not. This page is to help any that will listen, to know the truth.

You see, many people do not study the word of God for themselves and instead they rely on others, their feelings, and what their friends have to say. God commands each of us to study to show ourselves approved unto God. By studying the word of God we can know the true way of salvation even though the Bible is not our salvation, but it points to Jesus, whom we are to experientially know before we die or we will perish in our sins.

The Bible promises that if we love Him, we will obey Him and if we continue in Him, He and the Father will make their abode with us. Jesus promises to manifest Himself to the true believer. This is the “knowing” that most of the Christians are cast into eternal damnation for not having.

It is just very important to help any and all who can be encouraged to seek Jesus as He has commanded, because there is no other salvation than He. Those who pick and choose what they want to believe are not obedient and will suffer the consequences.

This page is just a witness of the plain truth.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

Subject: A rose by any other name…

Monte,

Wow. Your reply was overwhelming. I appreciate your heart. You wrote, "The true church of God is never a building or an institution, but the ekklesia." Of course, most Christians are agreed on this. Unfortunately, Christians are not agreed on everything. In fact, the body of Christ--made up of humans as it is--is not perfect, even though it has God at its helm, the Perfect One. That is, to me, one of the glorious contradictions of our existence: we're made in the image of God, but we are essentially imperfect beings.

We disagree. We wear different clothes. We comb our hair differently. Some folks get really bent out of shape over the size of a belt buckle or the exact number of inches hair should fall below one's scalp. And these folks form camps. Dan's hair is way short, and you can ask him about it, and he'll say, "I'm a Navy Seal." Of course, being in the Navy does not totally define who he is. But it does inform him and his behavior. In fact, it regulates his haircut.

So even though we have a common goal and a common Savior, Christians form different groups. Naming these groups doesn't make them more or less holy. And the names themselves don't sum up the whole of the ideas of the individual believer. The names are simply signifiers that help us get some idea of where this person stands theologically.

I wonder if you've found a name for people who share your beliefs. Not just a denomination, not necessarily the name of an individual congregation. There must be a name for the school of thought, I mean, for a theological stance. Surely in your studies you've encountered a name for what sets your group apart from other Believers besides "The Truth." I mean, hey, nobody says, "We're the ones who believe in Lies."

To distinguish what different groups are teaching, it's good to have a name for the teachings or approach to the Bible--the theology. Simply saying that it's "Biblical theology" wouldn't work, because all Christian theology claims the Bible for its basis. Again, how do you distinguish your beliefs/teachings/interpretations/theology from others. What name do you give it?

Thanks!

XXXXX,

Is it that you want to know or seek the truth?

Many desire and seek salvation and are not able to obtain it.

Luke 13:23  ¶Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24  Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

A tare by any other name is still a tare and not wheat, just as many call themselves the elect and are not. The ekklesia are the elect of God, but not all them that call themselves Christians or the ekklesia are the true ekklesia. We see back in Luke 13:24 the many are seeking salvation and are not able to lay hold of it, as to obtain it. In people calling themselves Christians, by no means ensures their salvation or means they are the true believers and followers of Christ.

Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of our faith.

Hebrews 12:2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus is the one way of salvation for the wheat. The tares are those who do not obey our Lord and Savior as He has set forth in His word. You see every one cannot have their own truth, for there is only one truth and one true way. Those who choose their own truth, even though it looks like they are obeying the Bible will still suffer eternal damnation. This is to say that they look like the true wheat on the surface in what appears to be adherence to the word of God, but inwardly they are tares and will eventually be made known as the tares they are at the time of the harvest. There is only one truth as Jesus has set forth. We either choose to abide in His truth or we choose our own truth (our own deception), which will take us to eternal ruin. Remember there is a way that seems right unto a man: Proverbs 16:25  ¶There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. This death is eternal damnation and I do not want to go there. I will accept His way. I will obey His word and I will follow His leading in my life, even unto mine own death.

Now for the response to your last letter:

Christians are not agreed on all things and this is ok as long as they are not on doctrines of Christ, which He has set forth. Many people would say that  “doctrine divides” and we should not do anything that would divide the body of Christ. It is true we are not to divide the body of Christ, but the division of the body comes from the adherence of individuals or groups who choose to depart from the true body of Christ, which is also the “narrow way” and in so doing they receive another gospel, another Christ with another spirit and having another doctrine. These counterfeits are specifically to look like the real thing with intent to deceive the “many” that end up in eternal ruin, which picked and chose what they wanted to believe out of the Bible and would not come to Jesus Himself that they might be saved.  The word of God says that we are to divide according to the doctrine of Christ and this division is to separate professing Christians from real Christians. There are a great many verses on this and this particular situation is covered in: http://members.door.net/monte/BiblicalSeparationCommandedByGod.doc found on my homepage. God commands us to separate ourselves from those who call themselves Christians or brothers and who abide not in the doctrine of Christ.

You say: “In fact, the body of Christ--made up of humans as it is--is not perfect, even though it has God at its helm, the Perfect One.” God does not combine corruption or imperfection into His body by joining any kind of sin unto Himself.  The body of Christ is perfect, in that it is without spot or blemish. If you have a spot or blemish that has not been atoned for and if you continue in any sin or abide not in the doctrine of Christ, then you are not of the body of Christ. The fallacy here is that we are all the body of Christ and that our sin has become the sin of Christ. This is just not so and is a lie from the very pit of Hell. If a person calls themselves the body of Christ and does not obey His word, this person is not yet of the body of Christ. This person hath not God. 2 John 1:9  Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. The other big fallacy in this is that when a person goes down to confess and accept Jesus into their life that they are immediately saved and become a part of the body of Christ. The Bible nowhere says this. The Bible says there is a “way” which leadeth unto life and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. If you search the Scriptures you will find that this instant faith salvation gospel is a lie and the “many” who are comfortable and feel good about this are the “many” who are going to Hell as of their own choice to pick and choose what they want to believe. I would pray that all would open the Scriptures and see for themselves this truth, by what is written therein.

God did not make the anointed cherub that covereth, Lucifer an imperfect being and neither did He create man imperfect. He and man both chose to sin, which is to become separated from God:

Ezekiel 28:13  Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14  Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15  Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16  By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17  Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

God created us as perfect, both man and Heavenly beings and He has also given us the ability to choose. Unfortunately, some of them and us choose to do wrong and have been separated from God.

To sum up the answer to this part concerning: “That is, to me, one of the glorious contradictions of our existence: we're made in the image of God, but we are essentially imperfect beings.” God never made an imperfect being and by these being’s choice they made themselves imperfect. Glorying in contradictions is glorying in sin. In fact there is no contradiction in God’s Word, for God is not the author of confusion. If you have a Bible that has a contradiction in it, then you know the author is Lucifer, who is also Satan that serpent of old who continues to deceive the “many”.

1 Corinthians 14:33  For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

We disagree.” It is perfectly fine to disagree on many things as long as it is not doctrine. Doctrine is meant to divide. The Scripture is clear that we are to try and help those who have left the “narrow way”, but if they continue to abide not in the doctrine of Christ, we are required to separate ourselves from them. This is also covered in the document I have linked to earlier in this letter. As far as the disagreements the true believers have between themselves, they are known by their love (agape), which is not to be confused with the other loves of this world, and are to operate in this agape love concerning these disagreements.

We don’t have a common goal or savior between those who abide not in the doctrine of Christ and those who abide in the doctrine of Christ: John 8:41  Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 42  Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

True Christians cannot form different groups nor cause any divisions contrary to the doctrine of Christ. Jesus has already given us a name and called us saints. This is as close to a denominational name as it gets. And, yes, this name that we are called by does sum up the whole of the ideas of the individual believers, for we are of one mind (the mind of Christ) and one Spirit (the Holy Spirit) within the true body of Christ. I believe you can say the word “saint” does signify and help us to get some idea of where this person stands theologically, in that a saint stands solely on the Word of God and abides in the doctrine of Christ, which is obedience. There is no other theological stance for the true believer.

In answer to your question as to the names of the people who share my beliefs and are of the true body of Christ, these are: saints, believers, ekklesia, the elect, the called out ones, the separate ones, separatists, body of Christ, and all them that continue in the Word of Jesus are His true disciples.

John 8:31  ¶Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Once again, as far as theology: The Bible is our ONLY guide in all matters of faith and practice. The Holy Spirit will open the true believer unto the truth through obedience to the very Word of God and this truth is hidden from the world as it is a “mystery”, which is in the Scriptures that they may perish in their sins, but that the elect of God may know the truth and lay hold upon true salvation.

Mark 4:11  And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12  That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

Now if you wish to know the truth on any particular thing, please ask. I will tell you the only truth there is, but you can only know the truth if you obey what Jesus said and continue in His word:

John 8:31  ¶Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

I believe I have answered your question as far as I can about: “Simply saying that it's "Biblical theology" wouldn't work, because all Christian theology claims the Bible for its basis. Again, how do you distinguish your beliefs/teachings/interpretations/theology from others.

The answer is, again, by the Holy Spirit of God and abiding in the doctrines of Christ as He spoke them and taught them. You see these people who have different beliefs and opinions about theology won’t obey the Word of God, that they may know the truth, but they, rather pick and choose what they want to believe. This is why their theology is different from what the Bible says and this is why there are so many differences of opinion concerning the Bible. It is a mere matter of obedience. Again, the reason is that they will not fully obey Christ, so the truth is never revealed to them. This is in the Scriptures for them to see, but they simply choose not to obey and will be cast into Hell with all the unregenerated.

God is not the Father of all men:

John 8:41  Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 42  Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

There is no: you have your truth and I have mine. There is only one truth and we cannot know that truth unless we first trust, obey and continue in His word, then He will reveal the truth unto us. There is only the one true truth and all other is error and a lie. None of us can have it both ways.

I hope I have been of some help to you in understanding the Word of God.

If you have any other questions, please ask.

May the Lord guide you by the moving of the Holy Spirit unto The Only Truth.
